Dennis M. Bunker Tombstone, 1897

Dennis Miller Bunker (1861-1890) was a painter, born in New York City. He studied at the National Academy of Design in New York and Paris. He was especially noted for portrait and figure painting. He married Eleanor Hardy (who later became Mrs. Charles A. Platt). Mrs. Bunker commissioned Stanford White and Saint-Gaudens to design the stone in 1897. The tombstone is located in a Massachusetts cemetery.
